hi i need to know which is the best brand of oil to use?

fully or semi synthetic?

it says in the manual to use 10w40, i take it this is a semi-synthetic?

Castrol RS is good!! I usually go for fully synthetic.

I use Castrol GTX Magnatec 10W-40 Fully Synthetic.

Wouldn't go any thinner than that as you might get the "Tappety Tap Taps"

i thought 10w40 only came in a semi-synthetic?

stupid question but whats the advantage of fully synthetic?

I use Castrol GTX magnitec. 5w30 as the handbook suggests :D

Thought id resurect this topic, is Castrol 10W-40 available in Fully Synthetic? Ive been reading through loads of posts about engine oil, and alot of you claim to use this stuff but I can't find anywhere that states 10w-40 is f/s, Halfords tell me its only made in semi synthetic.

Any of you could shed some light on the matter
