Reversing Camera

Hi all,

I'm planning on putting in a reversing camera and have a screen in the sat nav housing....

What i want to know is ,

who already has done this..................? what to watch out for......

Which camera did you go with ........... pioneer or cheapy eBay type, results ... happy?

Where abouts did you position it..........ie keylock or number plate recess area or where?

There are a few threads on this already.

Geoffers has one fitted to his car that he designed / made. By all acounts it is by far the best one available. Fitted by the key hole on the boot. I'm not sure if anybody else had one fitted.. Anees maybe.

Indeed...........I have 10 cameras with Geoff........when he's well they will be duly marketed !

Is your system to intergrate to an existing sat nav set-up?

I only have the housing and are trying to source a suitable screen and camera....was asking which camera peeps prefered

Do you sell the cameras seperate and what kind of resolution do they have...

Hi,

I have seen the camera in use myself and its tiny!!! The quality is pin sharp, its a full 140degree wide angle reversed image and even works quite well in low light conditons (but I'd fit brighter reversing lights to help it).

I was so close to having it fitted a few months back but unfortunetly Geoffers didn't have the right drill bit with him so we couldn't do it. (Funny how I say 'we' ) Unfortunetly he has been seriously ill recently so unsuprisingly still not had it done. Not that I care - Geoff's health is obviously much more important!

Don't get the ones off eBay - have tried them, they are all crap!

Thanks for the heads up....... :) , I figured eBay cameras were crap but you are always thinking maybe.... so now i know for sure :winky:
