Front Fogs Corrosion

hello, having removed the damaged front bumper to repair i decided to see if i could dismantle the fos fog light which has a crcked lense foun that water had corroded the lamp housing any advice very welcome cheers, gds

replace with a new or second hand unit. :)

aluminium and a watery enviroment dont mix well, as said above replace it. to try prevent this happening again , lightly smear a dap of grease over the alu holder then coat in silicon sealant or even a large amount of wax.

thanks for the tip on preventing corrosion.

has anyone got a working round front fog for sale right or left would be ok as i have the bracket, cheers, gds

Or you could get the newer type fog lamp which has a plastic cap that prevents corrosion ;)

How you getting on with your fog light problem

are your fogs the same as in my banner?????

hello. they are round about four inch diameter and attach to the bumper by two brackets.

japan parts have quoted £170.00 for one which i think is a rip for what they are.

anyone know of another source, cheers :angry:

I got the white fogs that cast a white light. It took Koji in Japanparts about 2 weeks to get light delivered after receipt of payment. They accept paypal too. The email address is koji@japanvehicles.com and i looked for part number 041-002-500(left hand side).

He usually returns a mail the following day.
