i'm headin up to midlands wheels next week to look at some wheels i've been toying with buying. after speaking to the folks at midland wheels, i've managed to get a great price for the wheels plus the tyres, locking nuts, balancing and valved.

my only question is, the tyre i wanted were the Toyo Proxes, but they only sell the T1-S, not the T1-R. will these be ok, or does the IS need the re-enforced T1-R tyres.

cheers in advance,

rob

t1-s are the latest version of the t1-r

the r does not stand for reinforced and either will be fine

in fact a very good tyre

thanks for the reply. i know the r doesn't stand for re-enforced but ive been told on numerous occasions that the T1-R has a re-enforced sidewall. but if the T1-S is fine, then i'm a VERY happy chappy (well, i will be next week if all goes well :D )
