Just Found Strange Panel

I went to get something out of the rear passenger footwell today(drivers side)and found that it had knocked against a small panel that i have never seen before.This panel had fallen off and under it was what seemed like a electrical socket or plug.Does anyone have any idea what this could be ??????

I think it where the dealer puts the plug-in for the diagnostic machine

no the diagnostic poing is under the steering wheel on the right hand side :duh:

I just had a look, no plug found , but i did find two pound coins.

i found the same panel last week as well with plug socket and still not the wiser to wot its for mines a 93 mk11..... didnt find any money either lol

Mk.1 GS had one there. On the panel that came off was some nasty warning about the airbags, so I put it back and left it alone.
