well, anything can do it...

Word, Frontpage...

Proffesionals use Dreamweaver..

None are drag and drop, but they are pretty easy if you've used word processor type stuff before..

There are also plenty of sites that will host your web-site and provide templates and an editor to make it really easy to create web pages. You'll either pay by showing their ads or by a monthly fee. I've just started playing with one that lets you use flash which is cool because to buy flash costs a few hundred quid. http://www.balthaser.com/builder/fx_boot.asp

been using Dreamweaver at uni this year, its suprisingly easy to use if you put your mind to it

Try writing ASP.Net using SQL server with DreamWeaver!.

I use Visual Studio, but there again its my job and I've always used it.

Dreamweaver is probably the best d&d product out there for the 'home' user (not meant to be patronising) who does not need SQL backend databases

I sound like a dreamweaver kind of guy then :D

As what you just said I understood the words but put them together and they meant nada

what about also putting flash into pages?

you could use flash?

although its a pricey package - you can download a demo..

Sorry, its just how you 'feed' data to the webpages, like Tescos/Sainsburys etc websites, the items and pricing etc are held in backend databases with a generic html page to hold the data, then you dont have to rebuild the page every time prices or items change.

Trouble is Dreamweaver is VERY expensive (assuming you have to buy it), there are some good freebies around, and probably the best of those at www.arachnophilia.com.

Try this http://personalweb.about.com/od/websiteeditortutorials/ page for some advice

Dreamweaver

Adobe Photoshop

You will need an FTP client, Filezilla is good, as it's free.

Then you will need what you can not buy ........ and that's creativity :shifty: :D
