Seat Belt Warning Lights

I have a V Reg IS200 Sport and ive read the manual but cant work out why the seat belt lights never come on when the driver or passenger is not wearing a seat belt. i believe there is a light for driver on the dials and the passenger is with the heater switches.

Why does it not work? is there a switch to turn these off or is this faulty or does it even come on the sport model? should there be a sound as well warning you the belt isnt on or is it just a light?

It should come on when either the driver or passenger dont wear their seat belt. The drivers is in the dash and the passengers is near the clock.

Yep, the sport does have them, but they don't give an audible warning, they just flash.

As far as I am aware there is nothing to enable you to switch it off (maybe there is a fuse ?).

The sensors are located in the bottom part of the seat.

the pax seat is operated by weight, the drivers is by the key being in the on position
