the 159mph is bad - but what most people gloss over is 90mph in a residential 30mph zone - IMHO thats much worse!

159mph is alright I suppose, if you're on a straight, QUIET stretch in good conditions, and you've got the experience to handle it.

But I've got to agree with you 100% on the second bit - 90mph in a residential 30mph zone is disgraceful behaviour. Nova-driving chavs (who you'd expect to be thick enough to do it) would be locked up for that. Why not this copper?

thinking bout it they let me off doing a 100 in a 70 and im an ordinary member of the public,no emergency, and there are people in the land who are getting off at 115-120mph with mitigating circumstances,so I suppose they aint gonna throw the book at plod, especially a highly trained plod.

Yes I got off once through a technicality. The Vascar was trained on my brother's bike and he got done, which left me in the clear. We still get on fine though ;)

I enjoy some speed under the right conditions. However, it sends out the wrong message when he gets off scott free after such a flagrant disregard for the laws of the land, just because he's a copper.

No excuse!
