Will they fit?

18 x 8.5J, offset of 42, i understand from mats post the rears will fit with minor arch rolling with 255/35-18 and it wont fit the fronts.

However what would happen if I used thinner tyres? say 225/40/18....

TIA

They will fit, but especially for the rear they might rub if your low.

225/35/18 up front would be best if you planning to slam it, with 255s on the rears would be pretty sick :D

225s will fit on the front, will be a stretch though, 235s would be better...

put it like this... took tyre fitters 45mins to put 225s on my front 8" wheel, and best part of an hour on the rears on the 9.5"

only reason i say narrow is i know ppl hate rubbage... narrow tyre might expose the rim lip...

235s would be best for fit.... 225s will be a stretch on 8.5s for sure..
