Creaky Clutch

my clutch is creaking all the time i think i have seen a post on this b4 but i cant find it

any ideas on a fix

is it the clutch or the clutch pedal u r talking about??

if its the pedal, they are normally replaced, but if the sound is coming from the engine compartment then it sounds as if the clutch release bearing is on its way out - gearbox off im afraid.

would wd 40 do the trick?

or is it terminal

My clutch pedal did the same but it was in warranty. I think they just greased it up first of all. It took a couple of attempts but it's not squeaked since.

you can use wd40 but it would be best to use a grease - or a spray grease such as a bikers chain lube ( in halfords) it is designed to get into all the gaps so that should solve ur prob - just remember to put some paper down in the footwell when spraying!!!!!

try that and see what happens

I had a bush replaced under warranty, but the creaking came back after about 3 or 4 weeks. Took it back in and they cured it again. No new parts, so I assume a good greasing would do it. I'm sure that, if you took the car straight to the workshop, instead of reception (no coffee, I know!) they could do it there and then.......
