Anyone tried one of these yet? Looks like a neater solution than most and should at least allow the arm rest to close without fouling the power plug.

My Dad bought me one for Christmas and while it works great it is still too tall to allow the armrest to be closed while it is charging the iPod. I've left the charger in the glove compartment as I can use it with the cigarette lighter if the iPod is low on power but that has not happened yet.

If I get the chance I will post some pictures to show it in action.

With armrest down, the armrest will not close fully and cannot be slid back into place either.

Thanks for that....I'll pass on buying one. I do have an adaptor that is cigar lighter male to USB female and the USB is at right angles so fits quite nicely and allows the arm rest to close and slide. Only problem is that the iPod will not re-charge from it for some reason. It was originally part of a Kensington kit for re-charging mobile phones from a PC or the car. Thinking about it, I have another Kensington adaptor with me for the USB phone charger, that I found I need for the PC with my Nokia 6230i, it must be a converter of some sort as it's a female USB one end and male USB at the other. I'll try it with the car and the iPod when I get back to the UK. Just for info the 'USB adapter' is Kensington Model No. 1500098. Sorry I don't have the model No. of the other one...it's still in my car in the UK.
