IS250 test:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.j...2/10/ixmot.html

Doesn't like the older IS's instrument panel, what a pratt! Mind you, the IS200 kiddy's pedals I've always thought were OTT.

On the IS250:

"The noise insulation is remarkable and meticulous,"

"the absurdly priced (£2,710) optional multimedia centre would be a stretch even for the best heeled and its 32-colour navigation display was decidedly wonky."

? The GS 300 I was recently lent had a system that seemed ok to me, and I thought this was the same one fitted to the IS250: maybe he had a faulty one..But the price is silly, I have to agree. I wish you could get the reverse camera on its own, it was the one feature of the GS 300 I liked!

"We like: Fine performance and sharp handling in an attractive bodyshell. Reasonable value when the specification is taken into account.

We don't like: Golf-fixated marketing, poor rear-seat accommodation and slightly unrefined diesel option. " (He means golf clubs, not VW, and the tone of the Lexus magazine.)

The web version is shortened from the printed version, where he mentions that at the launch several motoring journalists attempted to start the petrol engine when it was in fact already running!
