Hid's

Hi all having had my lex for nearly a month now, and whith the xmas bonus coming :D i am considering buying the HID conversion Kit from Prolex Uk.

This brings me onto my first question, do you now anyone near the Sheffield area that could fit them? (although i dont mind traveling a bit)

or are they easy to fit yourself?

and secondly is there a huge differecent between the HID kit and the bulbs that you can straight sawp for the standardstock bulbs?.

Mine are due soon, as far as I can tell it's a case of:-

Mount the ballast somewhere

Unplug and remove old bulb

Fit new bulb and plug it into ballast

Plug old bulb cable into ballast

...and that's it.

I've just ordered a set from Prolex, and as far as I know, its all plug and play, won't need to do anything other than unplug the old bulb, and plug that into all the new bits that come, and should be sorted :)

Only thing that worries me is where to put the ballast, and how to secure it in the engine compartment, but I'll see how it is when it arrives :winky:

Btw, there will be a massive difference between HIDs and other available bulbs

Although I missed the current offer, what are they going for now? Xmas and all has caused some serious fiscal restraints!! :P
