Electrical Problem

hi all again, just wonderin if any one has had or heard of this problem ive got with my 93 ls400.....when i switch my lights on either side or dipped the centre consoles lites go off ie no illumination at all on lsd for clock and stereo and climate contol when i switch side or dipped headlights off it illumanated perfect, im no electrician n havent the foggiest whats a matter wi it, im gettin my blinky dash sorted this week by a local auto electrician with thanks to the info i recieved on here about the problem and hopefully someone can point me in the rite direction with this other problem..........ps thanks to all who helped me out with blinky dash cheers

Does it make any difference when you turn the knob near the instrument panel

that dims/brightens the instruments?

hi,

its all part of the same problem when i had mine repaired i had both boards completely checked and 10 or so caps changed,They were for lights, consol,dash,fuel gauge,radio loads of things,i had my boards more or less rebuilt.this was about 15 months ago and alls been fine since,
