Really depends on how much you want to spend, they vary alot. I bought a cheap and cheerful Snooper Neo 3 and its been great.

Like Zee says, there is a few member who would swear by the Origin B2. Road Angel do a sat nav unit with built in camera locations etc.

I have a classic RoadAngel - have had it for 3 years now. Has saved me a couple of times :shifty::whistling:

There is such a vast selection, echo what zee said - speak to RadarZone who will have an unbiased opinion on all of the products, I can tell you the RA is good but can tell you nothing about the Origin, I assume Zee for instance is the other way round.

I am waffling

I'm another Origin fanboy - I wouldn't have a license if it wasn't for that thing!

It just works, tells you your speed, the speed limit and how far away you are from the camera in distance and seconds - awesome kit :)

I use a Road Angel 2 and it's excellent.

I also have a Bel 950 as a reserve - this picks up radar signals of live cameras but I prefer Road Angel as it uses GPS - this makes it much quieter and no false alerts and this wonderful government of ours is planning to ban radar/laser based detectors soon.

best advice is to pick a GPS based system (Road Angel, Snooper, Origin) etc.

At the end of the day they will all save your licence.

I use road angel 2 which has all the laser detectors and gps gizmos. I've not got it in the middle of the dash though because of my greddy gauges. Which is probably why it never alerted me to the police camera van filming me speeding :crying:

So we have to secrete the Radar dedectors a bit better then? After all, the Government is supposed to reflect OUR wishes, not nanny us! Remember, as LKJ Setright died recently, that he despised Speed restrictions! Great man! Speed saved time, and thus life. (Work it out.....means LIFE, not lives!)

Keep flying!

I can't say anything about the Origin B2, but I've had an Origin Blue i for a couple of years.

Had it replaced twice under warranty, because the screen went doolally.

Screen went again outside warranty, replaced it myself with a decent screen instead of the cheap crap they use, screen's been fine since.

Now it's decided that it hates updates - bought a second one from eBay (surprise surprise, a knackered screen), may swap my screen into it, but using TomTom for traps now anyway.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Found about 12 cameras, 6 of which were the first time I took it out, whilst one of the others took about 6 months to find its way into the database.

What are the chances of being pipped to the post (and denied the £50 finders fee as a result) on EVERY SINGLE CAMERA? Hmmmm....

I also use the Origin B2, hard to fault it really. Had one warranty replacement early on but since then its never missed a beat.

They take more to install than the likes of a Road Angel, but I reckon the B2 displays more information and on a bigger screen.

Its nice that you can set so many things on it, like independant voice and beep volumes, stuff like that makes it good to use.

yes the b2s very friendly to use.....am i right in saying the road angel 2 isnt speed senstitive? So if you sit stationery near a speed camera it will keep beeping at you!

I had a quality issue with the PC cable on the b2 that was replaced FOC. No other issues.

My subscription ran out a few weeks ago! need to get it sorted!
