I am looking to buy a lexus is200.

The question I have is whether they have a computer built in.

By computer I mean one that calculates Average MPG and displays it on the dash?

This advert (2nd one down) says it has a computer.........not sure if its telling the truth?

The one on my IS200SE only has a trip computer, ie. it only displays the mileage done on trips - not the mpg's.

Not as far as i am aware, i went to look at that exact the other day. Really nice motor opted to get one with a lower milage.

What you are reffering to is more commonly known as DIS 'Drivers information system'..

The IS does however have a real-time MPG meter - its not that useful though...

its the dial that says MPG
