if u have full access and the nuts/bolts come off easily and u have all the tools then say an hour or so - remember u have to split the steering shaft and there is no master spline so remember to mark it beforehand!

what u doing?

I want to cut and shut my precats when i'm fitting the s/c next weekend, i need to whip them off, run them to a garage and cut them cut out and new pipe welded in, hence am curious.

Or I just leave them in and get a racing manifold at a later date.

decisions decisions......

the stering shaft has a master spline on one end, but obviously not on the other. u remove the pinch bolt then tap the knuckle up the splines - give it a good soak with wd40/penetrating oil the night before to make it easier - same goes for the manifold nuts/bolts

balance pipe, whats that?  :duh:

I'm just concerned about them breaking down on me, clogging the main cat and going ka-boom.  :hehe:

got any secondhand cat-less manifolds lying around dave?

I've got one I could get chopped for you.

Got a proper manifold you can have as well :whistling:

the pipe will have to be mandrel bent if your having them replaced as the lower cat is curved.

Mine cost £65 all in from a company in Horton Kirby near brands hatch..

Call rob on 0780 805 5843

he did it in a few hours and was very good.
