Okay,

I thought i would leave the title ambigous so if i end up with a lot of questions, they can all go in this one thread...

But, key question at the moment is....

Patio doors and anti-lift...

I have tried B&Q and a specialist window/door company, but no-one can supply an anti-lift kit for my patio doors - does anyone know where i can get one, or any other good solution?

thanks in advance!

You need to ask for Secure By Design Specification, to be honest I'd go for French Doors instead, where are you in the UK i'll dig out some Company names? (For Patios and French Doors)

these are existing Alu patio doors i want to add anti-lift to...

i cant afford new ones!!!

I had a look in Focus, and they have the 'patio door lock', which goes at the bottom, may help a little - but i dont think it will be great...

I'm looking for an aftermarket solution to make my patio doors more secure... without breaking the bank

:offtopic: about the underfloor heating... seems that there more trouble than there worth... ie what floor you putting down ifyou go for a wood floor then what if the hot water pipe or electric heater elements (gas or electric system) under this malfunctions, means you gota rip the floor up,, not so bad if you just got carpet, but still worth considering...

but surely that would apply to any heating system

unless its all run surface !!!

even less so with underfloor as its run as a continuous loop with no joints to go wrong

would not recommend an electric underfloor heating system, at all

back to ian

can you not make up a bracket, i will have a look at mine when i get home, but from memory its a simple bracket that is only accessible when the door is open

I dont know Barrie - but i have called a locksmith to see what he can do for me - a slightly pricey alternative, but at least i know the job will be done right... and a lot cheaper than new doors!

as for the heating, well i have carpets, but i know what you mean Paul...

oh, and another 'heating question' - these towel rail radiators, could these connect on top of an existing radiator (i noticed my bathroom radiator has connectors on top) or does it have to replace it?
