Power mode doesn't increase the throttle sensitivity but snow mode does reduce it.

Power mode changes the shift pattern of the gearbox and at least on other Toyota models increases the line pressure which gives quicker changes.

Cruise at 50 mph and put it in power mode. Does you speed increase? Doesn't on any one i've driven. Put it in snow mode and does your speed decrease - yes.

Not sure if it applies to e-shift. It may well be that when selecting M mode the line pressure is also increased.

cannot find any specs on shift patterns etc except for shift speeds with WOT which we already know is no different between pwr, normal, auto or M.

E-shift is not manual control of the box, it is setting the highest gear YOU allow the box to use. Any gear below the one you select can and will be used. If you floor it in 3 it WILL kick down and go to 2 provided the revs allow.

In other words the auto box is only restriced to a narrower range, it even says RANGE in the LCD window FFS. So using the PWR button gives the same charateristics on manual and auto only you give the box less gears to use. If you hold a low range the engine will bounce off the limiter.

If you want to go fast in a straight line use auto, no point in anything else. If you want to avoid "kicking down" two gears on the apex of a tight corner use e-shift.
