just bought some stereo stuff for me car and have some 7x10 speakers but was thinkin myt aswell keep the standard ones as they seem quite good, cant be bothered faffin.. anybody know if i could wire them to an amp and if they will be able to take it. sorry for the essay

Are you on about cutting new holes into the parcel shelf then? you wont be able to just splice of the existing speakers. but what you could do (if you want to say put these 7x10s in the parcel shelve as well) is get a normal amp and wiring kit, hook up the 12v and gnd then connect the rca to the existing rear speakers using

and connect rmt to any 12v source with a switch located near the drivers position
