i'm just concerned about there being no padlock.. and i cant find no numbers.. just address, but I have found out they have a few stores..

Is the site secure?

Yes it is. Our site is hosted on a dedicated server which utilises industry approved security, SSL encryption. Our systems encompass the very highest level of data protection available.

i'm not so sure :duh:

The pages are using ASP.NET and as you say Raz, can't see anything indicating the SSL certificate is valid or even there.

If it was secure USUALLY (can be different) the site address starts with https:// not the normal http://

:huh::huh:

the site is not secure as far as I got through it.

However, I stopped short of letting them run a credit check on me.

This does not mean that the credit card payment is insecure - but you were right to be wary.

If when you come to enter your credit card details, you do not see the padlock, and the URL does not begin https:// - then its not secure and you should not enter your credit card data.

Doesnt mean its a scam - just means its not secure enough for ME to trust them

damm, so its too good to be true?

W800i for 9.99, and £15.99p/m

no - its not necessarily a scam, rip off site.

its simply not secure enough for ME to use them to buy from.

They may be 100% legit, never let anyone down, excellent service, top notch guys.

but - its not a secure site so you should not use it to give them your credit card details.

Ring them up and do it that way?

Oh goodie... Saddam Hussain has just ordered a phone c/o The US Government !!

Currently unemployed, but born in 1910 and lived at the same address for 99 years. His bank account is safe though cos it's 'The Bank of Iraq' !!

Anyway his Samsung D500 is on it's way to him !!:lol: - He can even track his order cos he put in his Visa card details correctly as 9999 9999 9999 9999 and it's a good card cos it was issued in 1995 but doesn't expire until Dec 2020 !!!

Mmmmm.... The whole thing smells to me. If you look at their 'shops' none of them have telephone numbers (great for a company that specialises in communication) and the 'contact us' details gives no numbers either.

Personally I would steer well clear.... I have to say though, on first glance you would say it's a legit site. Let's say I WOULDN'T order my mobile phone from them (but Mr S. Hussain was obviously happy to and got accepted)

If the site is just accepting any random details ....... then the chances are that it just stores all the info you enter into a .txt file somewhere on the server .......... non encrypted !

Erm ......... no thanks !
