Well owing to starting my own company it was not viable for my to have the Lexus as a company asset without paying the tax man a lotta money!

So im looking to buy an additional vehicle that will allow me to transport the goods etc without getting damaged.

so far i have weighed up most of the options but owing to where i live 4wd is needed as its very easy to get snowed in etc.

I have put the mitsi L200 out of the picture as it has awful fuel consumption compared to the ford (21-24mpg compared to 28-35mpg) plus with the wildrtrac you get full leather interior (2 tone) plus DAB radio and every option added. was like driving a car.

Just wondering if there were any niggly problems etc with them that i should be aware of? will also be using it to tow the lexus to shows on a trailor next year so that i can carry more stuff!

cant see how having the lex as a company asset would cost you

only when you sell it ?

snow is a poor excuse for buying a 4x4 , how much do we get ?

good mpg and a few finishing touches are not an excuse to buy a ford :P

in bobbing we live in the middle of no where, and they dont clear the road where we live if it snows, which it does quite a bit in the winter.

We are right by the coastline you see so get the cold ***** winds.

bazza, meant company car not asset (oops) my accountant firm recommended that i buy a commercial vehicle as the tax for personal use is capped at £500 a year plus for delivery purposes it keeps the lex pristine as i dont need to use it.

Other reasons for a 4x4 are the we need to take steffys horses out with the horsebox etc

company car would be a company asset, so you could buy it from yourself

anything bought for the company car, any petrol, expensives, insurance would be tax deductable and nearly all vat reclaimable

I think its when you come to sell the company car you pay more tax with a car than with a commercial vehicle.

buy the pajero, re-spray it, fit a leather interior...22" wheels, and its just as good as anything else........and will still cost pennies in comparison

if it can tow the Monster on the trailer......it can tow a horse
