just thought i should add a few lines. dont really trust bankers draft/cheques either as i found out when i was selling my aristo last year. a guy in spain offered to buy my car and sent a bankers draft which appeared to be scanned and belonged to a big company in london.luckily i read the article on the autotrader site. to cut the long story short. it would have cleared and showed funds in my account. but after a few days (car would have gone by now) the bank will get in touch and say it was either stolen or fake.

so be careful with your dealings. i would prefer money wired straight to a account that i hardly use. that way you know the money is in your account.

On the back of all drafts there is a direct contact number for the holding bank to verify whether the draft is legitimate or not.

I would never accept a draft from a bank i didn't know though. Would have to be uk based.

ive checked his eBay status, he does have 100% positive feedback, but the car wont be released until im satisfied that the payment is secure in my bank account

:offtopic: Wonder where he's getting his insurance?

Whereabouts exactly is he from Chris?

be extra carefull chris mate.. would hate to see a member get stung.

Cash is the best way IMO, only takes them a phone call to reserve 15K cash at their bank and for them to collect it.
