Looking to change my current useless sat nav system  .

Could anyone point me in the right direction so that I can still use the motor I have and maybe put in a decent sat nav/TV screen, not looking for anything to flash just a quick or semi- quick change over :shifty:

Was in Halfords the other day and had the guy miffed(Totally) i've already changed the head unit and re-built the centre console to fit around just need to find a better package!

Yep - can easily be done with fitted aftermarket monitor. Let us know when you are doing it and I'll give you the wiring for the motorised part so it will be as it is now.

CarPC is the way to go. Anees is looking at various GPS software, plus you would have a large mp3 player, videos, the lot. Couple this with an audio aux in and everything would be through your headunit. (Assuming you aren't going to change that as well),

 Not me mate - the first is from the States, the second is somebody else on here. However if you've got the Lexus pop up screen, you've probably got the most expensive (or hard to find) thing there already.

I would guess about 300 hundred quid for a screen to fit (if you can find the Farenhite one the yanks used you'll know it'll fit - otherwise you might have to get handy with filler and black paint), and then you can choose what to connect to it - just a DVD will probably be pretty cheap, but if you want sat nav, TV, game console etc it could get expensive.

Stunning mate absolutely stunning!!!

Start my IT course on the 28 october so hopefully this will help in my carputer invention, then I might be able to replicate some of the steps you have achieved.

You make it look easy though!!

Think you should start a buisness, I will be first customer!! :D
