Hid Conversion

Recommended Posts

HID's, to conform with the Euro specs muct come with self-levelling and lens washers. Having said that, no one seems to have had problems come MOT time

so if I leave my IS300 without the headlamp washers I will be ok come MOT time........... (sorry for hijack...)

on the subject of converting the IS200 to HID is it possible to fit the IS300 reflectors to the 200 as they are optimised for HID??

Personally I would take it back to the dealer and have the correct bumper (with the washer jets) fitted....won't cost you anything apart from your time :D

The IS300 HIDs will not fit the IS200 without having to chop away at the bodywork.

ok, so just to clarify this before i go ahead and purchase my HID kit. as soon as it arrives i can just fit it myself, attach the ballasts somewhere and then take it to an MOT garage to ensure the lights are levelled???

that right????

yea, that's my main reason for buying them now, rather than waiting a bit. :duh:

there are still some good offers on eBay if you wanna go down that road or you could always try www.hids4u.co.uk. i spoke to them just before i saw taz's post and they seemed really genuine and answered all the questions i had (without being arsy as many companies are!!!).
