Button Staying At Bar Honda!

Just heard Jenson Button has bought out his contract with Williams and is staying at BAR Honda...

Jenson Button will remain with the BAR-Honda team in 2006, after buying out his contract with rivals Williams.

A statement released by the Williams team - who gave Button his debut in 2000 - said that they had reached a financial settlement with the 25-year-old Englishman "to release him from his contractual commitments to the team for 2006 and beyond."

Button is now free to partner Rubens Barrichello - the Brazilian driver soon to depart world champions Ferrari - at BAR-Honda next season.

The announcement completes a volte-face by Button who, despite a successful 2004 season that saw both BAR-Honda finish second to Ferrari in the constructors' championship and the driver himself finish third in the drivers' title, announced that summer that he wanted to leave for Williams.

An argument between the two teams over Button's contract was eventually resolved in favour of BAR-Honda, but an agreement was signed by the driver with Williams for 2006.

That deal was triggered by Button's failure to score 75 percent of championship leader Fernando Alonso's points total by August 21 this year.

But, with both Honda increasing its involvement in the BAR team by acquiring a 45 percent stake and Williams losing its deal with engine partner BMW, Button decided that his ambitions were best satisfied if he stayed put.

I'm not so sure - Williams have lost their BMW engines and are going Cosworth which may lose some grunt for them, lost HP as their major sponsor..........

He makes a big deal about wanting to join a team (or stay with) you know he's jinxed the team for next season!

YEP........but what Has Button. Jr really done in his career (hate to be a **** kicker) but its always n e a r l y.....ect.no jealousy, and he's...got the babe, the rich parent!!....Given the chances .............oh yes , some of us can drive, but do we all have rich parents??.....just think about it
