Stone Chip In Windscreen

Recommended Posts

I'm sure I once read that your insurer would have someone do this free of charge as it means that they would not have to fork out for a new windscreen if the chips are fixed asap?!

Might be worth having a word with your insurance company first to see if they also provide this service?

It depends on the size of the chip and where it is as to wether it can be fixed. As advised above contact your insurance and if it can be repaired it is free, if not then it's a replacement screen and something around £50 to pay towards it.

Most of the windscreen repairer's can fill chip...seen it done on a car and it was very good, not quite perfect but very good.

I have a chip on my IS front windsheild, let me know how you get on with you're insurer. Im with Tesco so I'll give them a bell.
