Im looking to do a service on my IS only done 8000 since last done but its reached a twelve month.

Its done 40000 and i was wondering what were the things i would need e.g plugs so forth,Iv been no the knowledgebase about fluids but what types are best as iv never heard of energy conserving II.

Have you got the service record book for the car? It should tell you what items need changing and when.

You will need a new oil filter and obviously oil for sure.

Oil wise i was always told to put in the best oil you can afford. Never put cheapo oil in a car. Go and have a look at your local garage and just read the labels on the oils. I think 10W 40 should be ok (don't quote me in that though).

Check the brakes etc. Just generally check all of the belts for wear and tear. I don't know when the fuel filters need doing?

To be brutally honest, your nest bet is the manual - or phone the dealr and ask what they do on a 40k service.

The oil filter can be found on the left-hand side of the engine, high up, just in front of the wheel.
