Is300 Decatted Manifold & Race Pipe

Here are some pictures of the decatted manifold that Prolex have been R&Ding for the IS300:

The Prolex manifold pipes (unlike the OEM) are all equal length from the exhaust flanges to the 2-into-1 join at the race pipe to give the most efficient exhaust flow and therefore to optimise power. The race pipe (can't see it here) runs through to join with the rear cat-back section.

So......the whole exhaust system is now completely unrestricted (decatted)!

There is still some work to be completed:

1) The manifold and race pipe need to be heat wrapped due to the close proximity of some hoses. Shame - the pipes have turned a beautiful golden colour!

2) Extended Lambda sims need to be fitted to stop the CEL

3) Minor modification to the K&N induction pipe to bring it lower down towards the headlight to draw colder air.

4) Car will be dyno'd firstly with the OEM manifold and downpipe, then with the OEM manifold and XERD race pipe and thirdly with the full Prolex system. We are hoping for around 25 BHP gains.

(The red cables are earthing, which I'll move to a less conspicious route)

Nice bit of fabrication that mate :) shame you have to hide them with heat wrap, that golden colour gives them a titanium look :D

would the production one still have welds around the pipes, or is that part of the development phase? Tidy welds so not a massive issue

Oops - when carrying out your MOT Mr Morse I accidently stuck the emissions reader sensor up the pipe of this Ford mondeo next to yours - no worry though i'm sure the readings would have been the same and I'm late for lunch so just keep this read-out :winky: :whistling:
