I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I have just sold my 1995 Mercedes E220 SE which I really enjoyed owning.

I am looking around at the moment for something different. I am not your typical owner I suppose of a GS300 as I am only 23 but I am absolutely car mad and think that cars like this are exceptional value used.

The car I am considering is a 1998 GS300 S which I know does not have leather etc but I am not too bothered by this.

The car is in Astral black and has covered 41000 miles. What I am wanting to know is what are they like in terms of running costs if I do say 10,000 miles a year?

Any tips / thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

MANY THANKS

CHRIS

Chris,

Expect it to return approx 30mpg, major services are @ 20k 40k 60k and cost between £250 to £400 (major service) servicing at 10k 30k 50k cost around £180.

You need to know if it's had its 40k service yet?

They don't go wrong, or very rarely do they. So you should not get stuck with any big bills.

Are you buying from a Lexus dealer? i.e with a warranty?

Dave
