Touch Up Paint For Window Surround.

I asked a couple of dealers when I did my 70k ring around to find out if they did a touch up paint for the door window surround (The shiny black painted sections).

They all denied all knowledge of a touch up paint, is this correct as I have a scrape on the top of my driver door which could do with the bare metal covering before I add it to the list of little bodywork repairs.

I've had this problem with other cars in the past where the dealer doesn't have a touch up paint for window surrounds. I just used a black touch up paint from a different car. As long as it's glossy you should be okay (especially with black). Just a thought but couldn't you try the black Lexus paint ?

Any solid black touch up should be the same, or so my repairer says - cos I just got some of him today for where my little girl smacked the door into the pebbledashed wall :tsktsk:

Cheers, should stop the few mm of bare metal rusting until I get it fixed properly!
