How Much Difference Does The S/c Make Then?

OK - talking to a few of you guys today has made me think supercharger

Easy to fit by all accounts but are there ever any probs with them? Reliability etc etc.

I need to give the Lex a bit of a kick start i think (possibly, maybe, perhaps).

If I had the bits the fitting I could do myself on unlces farm in the workshop - no probs there. Just testing the water.

Can parts be sourced at reasonable prices?

How much difference does it make performace wise? I miss the accelleration of my old cupra but know it won't be anything like. The car must be 100% reliable too though. Plus I intend to keep it for a few years. Is it going to pull my pants down on fuel economy?

If I can create a complete street sleeper by doing it though i will be happy. :winky:

Opinions chaps? (sorry for so many bloody questions at once)

Very reliable. The TTE kit has everything needed and there should be no problems with it at all :D

I'm having mine fitted fairly soon! (next 2 to 3 weeks) all thanks to Mr JAE2005 experience and Mr Ellens (Prolex-uk) powers of persuation lol. I can let you know how things go when shes transplanted in!

Wouldn't say you're going to get a street sleeper mate, it's the same sort of speed as the IS300, have a whirl in mine when we do the curry, the only problem is mine sounds like it should be twice as quick as what it actually is :( IMHO the proper street sleeper would be a totally standard looking 300 with forced induction - now that would be awesome :D

Saying that though, you will see a big jump compared to standard, I loved it when mine was first fitted - hang on and I'll find the thread (it's old!!)

Like Bazza says, not really had any problems with mine and done 25k with the charger now, only things like loose pipes, and a dodgy spring, the unit itself has been good :)
