Exhaust

Just fitted a hks silent hi-power this weekend. I think I've made a balls up, the exhaust seems to free up the engine abit and sounds great (not loud but a better tone). However, I dont have a body kit yet (engine 1st) and it looks quite large without a rear skirt. Also, after ordering the zorst I have found exactly how I want the car to look and this dosent include shiny bits. So I was wondering If you guys knew of and zorts available that were not as large in diameter as the hks, had the same power increase, same db output as standard and wasnt shiny?

Peco or blue flame exhausts are smaller but they are still shiny!

you could always sand the tip to dull it or somthin!

If you leave it long enough (say about 2 - 3months) it will get dirty enough to dissapear :)

eg:

What ever you do... DONT sand the tip!!!! You'll regret it if you do

The Blue Flame has a 100mm dia tail pipe, but it's also shiny:

DON'T sand it down you will never get the grit marks out of it

you could always use some sctoch brite to dull it down this will take the shinnyness out of it or you could have the box bead blasted and that'll make it even duller still

but leave your tail pipe shinny

You didn't by chance order an exhaust for an American IS300? IIRC they are slightly longer to accommodate additional intrusion protection so the exhaust has to be longer to reach far enough out the back...

You will get used to it, when i fitted mine i thought it looked a little out of place, and after it was lowered it looked even better, as for the shiney bit...give it two weeks and youll be saying what shiney zorst

I've decided to go for the tte unit so the hks will be up for sale soon, as well a few other items for sale and wanted

however I dont know the difference between 'standard' and 'rear lip', as I dont know what rear skirt yet
