Xerd Manifolds

Guys I came across this company in the US called XERD who make manifolds and bits and bobs for the IS300.

I thought I'd email them and ask them about designing something for the IS200 European model. Heres their website www.xerd.com and you can see my original email to them below:

Hi Guys

Just wondering if you can manufacture headers for the Lexus IS200 6 cylinder right hand drive European model. There is such little competition in aftemarket headers for the IS200 over here (Europe). I know for sure at least 10 people who would be interested!

Here was their reply a few minutes later:

This is what i will need in order to get this product done.

At least 25 deposits of 50% of the retail pricing. I wont know the price until i can see a picture of the stock manifolds. If it is close to design to the IS300 then the price will probably be $599-$699. The reason the price is a little higher then the IS300 is because it is more of a limited market for us.

I will need someone to send me their stock manifold to work with and i should be able to make the first article piece within a month. Then i will send it back to you guys to test fit and dyno. Once you approve, it will take about 2-3 months before it will be ready to ship out to everyone. From start to finish this project will take about 3-5 months.

If this works for you we can start right away.

I know it seems like alot of hard work but I just thought I would ask anyway to see if we can get good quality manifolds at decent prices for us LOCers! Not steppin on any traders toes I hope but competiton is good for the consumer and at the end of the day the customer is King :D

hmmm personally,, id wait for prolex to get there arses together.. from my experinace even there is300 manifold just does not fit nicely over the studs on the block.

Have they allowed for the steering coloum, after all 'europeans' drive left hand cars,, WE in the UK dont.. and how they gona produce one without seeing a right hand drive.

these are on offer now from xerd $289 for the header, however i think there is a fitting issue with the RHD, however have seen one sold on eBay that was fitted

so i assume it fits the GS300 without the fitting issues. Is the seller a member at all?
