Rear Shelf

Recommended Posts

Guys anyone have any ideas about how to strip the carpety material off the rear shelf?

Is it a plastic underneath or what is it?

I am basically trying to reline the back parcel shelf in a black suede and I dont think the suede will still to the current surface of the back shelf. So I am thinking I need to get the current carpety stuff before relining.

u can't remove it.

If you try to remove it you risk taking chunks out of it.

My advice, soak it with Resin, sand it smooth then glue it on... alot of work i know..

Or you could just make a new shelf, which is alot easier.

I've never worked with resin before!

Where can you buy it?

How do you apply it to rear shelf? Brush on?

Is it durable when it cures?

first one should be enough mate.

Literally mix the right amount of accelerator to correct parts of resin, dab it on till its soaked!!!!

left it cured for 24hrs, sand it down (use electric sander with 80-100grit paper) and u can stick your fabric over :)

Resin is super messy, so work in WELL ventilated area and wear gloves!
