How Long Does It Take To Diagnose A Fault?

Recommended Posts

It must be a nightmare, must be hard to keep your cool,  I would of lost it by now. :shutit: totally.

Tuesday 4th October, car wasn't ready yesterday but will be today I was told.

We wait and see.

Well I just checked Sky news and BBC News 24 no reports of blood shed in Bournmouth Sooooooooooooooooooo is it done ?

Picked my car up last night, sweet so sweet don't realise how much I missed it.

This morning the brake, ABS, VSC etc lights all came on along with a high pitched whistle!

Returned it to the dealer who checked it out and think its the hydraulic pump!

Is this because it has been unused for 7 weeks?

Anyone got any ideas what I can do now?

As advised in the Gold Forum -

"Would not have thought so I mine was off the road due to me not getting my backside into gear and sorting it out, but mine was off the road for about 6 months and now runs fine without any problems.

I'd take the car to another garage - not Lexus and have them check it out, don't tell the garage of the history, let them have ago at figuring it out. The dealer have been wrong before."

Several people have had hydraulic pump failure after the vehicle hasn't been used for several weeks. It's a £2000 repair, although nobody has actually confirmed it's the pump because the dealer will only swap out the whole brake booster.
