Chrome Exhaust Trim For Is300

Recommended Posts

Eddie, I bought an exhaust trim from tailpipes.uk.com last year. It was good quality BUT it ended up being a pain to fit. The jubilee clip which comes with it is meant for thin pipes like Saxo's and Fiesta'a, so i ended up spending days searching for one big enough. I finally got one in B&Q which was meant for tumble dryers!! The pipes come in a standard length as well, which is about 2 inches too long for the IS. I ended up hacksawing 2 inches off, and then because the bit i had taken off contained the holes for the jubilee clip, i spent about a week (and numerous drill bits) putting 2 new holes in. It looked great when it was on and i was very proud of my 'strap-on' , but just be prepared to mess about with it.

ouch that sounds like a lot of pain - I cant say Ive ever used a drill to make holes in metal so doing that kind of stuff is a bit of a non-starter for someone of my mechanical ability (ie zero)

Maybe Ill get a weld on one and have a garage do it for me....... :duh:
