Since I first clapped eyes on the IS 200 in 1997 i have wanted on, on wed i picked it up after a lot of travelling and a now massive pile of auto traders, but i have a few wee questions

This is the first rear wheel drive car i have owned and it is bit jumpy on the motor way, It seem as if the back end is stuck in them ruts that the wagons make and always requires minor adjustment, is this due to the geometry being out or somthing like that? If it is could anyone in the Basingstoke reading area point me in the right direction to get it sorted?

The other one is that i have an Alpine head unit with I pod interface that i wouldnt mind fitting, what kit will i need for the electronics, and where can i get a filler plate for a double din to single din unit?

I also want to upgrade the alloys, It has a spanking new trd kit all round and a spoiler, but i like them 18" wheels i see a lotof you have on the photos what are they called and who supplies them?

And for tuning, any suggestions for induction kits that are not just the same as the average scrote has on his fiesta with a differend adaptor Ie Pipercross, and exhuasts that dont have tail pipes like missile silos any suggestions

Thanks muchly

the Tramlining you mention is most likley to do with wheel geom, Im sure our resident geom Guru will be along soon to explain it better :)

As for the headunit, unless you have the basic S model you'll need alot of work doing to get your headunit working, but Prolex uk are about to release an adapter to allow you to plug your Ipod in for sounds.

Congrats with the dream car :D The IS has a fully adjustable geo you must assume it's wrong? first thing to do is please go check the tyres, mainly the front inners and ensure they are safe, then go to 'wheels and tyres' here and read for yourself what to do.

Congrats on a great car mate :D :driving:

As Gord says have a look on the Prolex-UK web site and you'll find loads of tuning options on there :D

@Brett - Is an aftermarket stereo easy to fit into an S then?? Is it because there is no additional amp?

Yup Altho ive never done it myself, Ive heard that others with an S can just buy an ISO conversion lead and put in any headunit they want, same with some of the Altezza's.

Sound. I've bought an ISO connector of Mr Fargo (Paul), so should be able to just plug it in and play away :D
