Ive just been reading about how digital speed camera's could be illegal on This Website

Lets hope this is true, Ive never been snapped on a speed camera yet

but if there are no more digital ones then they have to put film in the old type ones and there's a good chance the film would have run out lol

Generally the UK systems use WORM drives to store media from source.

The latest version of digital speed camera is currently undergoing Home Office Type Approval (HADECS).

I don't think it matters where the images / video are stored. The MD5 hashcode is used to verify that the evidence have not been tampered with. As the hashcode can theoretically be changed, there is no way of proving validity in court.

They'll fix this by using another system - looks like it will delay things for a while though.
