Grinding Noise

Im having problems with my front passengerside wheel, when i turn the steering wheel left and right when its stationary i get a grinding noise from the wheel however when im driving i have no real problems.

When the car goes over bumps i get the same noise only from that wheel, also the noise comes back when im turning at low speed (parking)

i have no problems when driving in a straight line nor do i have a problem when braking.

Ive been reading all the previous posts but everything seems to relate to the brakes, i have my brakes checked awhile ago and there ok. any ideas as to what it could be??

My Mk.1 GS had that. Was the lower ball joint.

how much does it cost to replace it?

they need to be done in pairs

and when i had mine fixed on the IS200 they cost around £150.00 from the lexus dealer

ive had this problem for 2 weeks now, should i still be driving the car in its current condition???

i drove mine for about 6 months before realising what it was and getting it fixed

I recently got my car serviced from Lexus and had the same issue with my IS200, it was the ball joints (and unfortunately for my car the calipers too). The price for ball joints from Lexus is £55.98 each, if you want Lexus to fit it in for you, your looking at around £350 in total. I bought mine and got a local specialist garage to fit it in for £50 labour.
