Is300 Limited Edition...

Recommended Posts

Looking through the specs (and a search on here) I cant seem to find anything that stands out as being different between the limited edition and the standard IS300!

Comparing the 2004 IS300 standard with the IS300 LE they look the same to me...

Anyone got a definative answer? Was it just a marketing ploy?

They've all got HID's, 11 spoke alloys, s/s 'zorst ends, s/s scuff plates and ped's.... etc...

.... so what is the difference?

Well teh V5 for the reg and the insurance come up as it being LE. It is astral black though, not kodiak sky.

Looks like it is a marketing gimick imho, spec on it is same as current IS300 spec with out the navigation system. Maybe it was to boost teh sales of the facelift 03 cars ?

The IS300LE only came in one colour - Kodiak Sky, which came out in 10/2003 as part of the facelift programme.

I also had the same problem with IS300 / IS300SE on many online insurance sites, despite the fact that my V5 states IS300

The IS300 LE had the 11 spoke alloys, Kodiak Sky paint, and the box on the top of the dash - all of which was not available at the time

Although I agree it was a slightly silly model, especially as they all then became standard fit across the range (except the paint colour) :)
