Like the idea buti think it's too much. Maybe if you could incorporate the sun lines effect somewhere else or maybe position the badge with the lines in the middle of the side of the car, and then could have the same badge across the bonnet.

I aggree minus the two lines suggests direction,( forward ) with the lines it suggests a 'paint ball', but i feel the colour conflict is 'stop on'!
