Sports Grilles

Was wondering whether it is worth forking out the extra expense for the Lexus sports grille (which is over priced in my opinion) or buying the TRD style one off eBay for a lot less??

Does the OEM sports grille come with the 'L' in the centre? as a lot of members seem to have removed it?

Is it a direct replacement fit as well??

Any help much appreciated ;)

I think it's over priced too mate !

The cheaper TRD one is cool ........ but it's usually always in carbon effect!

The OEM one comes with the L badge, I think that's included in the price ......... or it may even be a further £10 - £15 ................ I'm sure they have come down in price now though any how, due to the new IS coming out ?

Alternatively ..... get a TTE bumper ;)

i've recently had the sport grille off Chris Shipley using his special offer. Cost me £185. Colour coded and includes the L emblem. Direct replacement - only takes 5 minutes to replace it. I think Chris's special offer is still going.

Thanks chaps.

I would go for the TTE front bumper but really like the subtlety of the TRD front skirt.

So i take it that the TTE front bumper comes with the sport grille already as part of the unit?

Whats your opinion go the whole TRD route or mix with TTE??

By the way what are the TRD and TTE parts made of, plastic or Fibreglass :crybaby: ?

TRD bumper is PVC for sure (& the grill is CF).... TTE, I'm not so sure. I think its made of fibre glass and also comes as a whole unit (bumper, chin & grill).

When you are talking about mixing TRD & TTE ... if u r talking about mixing the front with the TRD sides... i think it looks fine. The TRD side skirts are pretty versatile when matching.

I think u should try to find a lower priced used TRD grill first (ie eBay or something), then if you can't find ...buy a TTE bumper.
