Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of being driven/driving some thing other than my IS200!

Lexus issued invitations to various people inviting them to take part in an open day at a posh hotel situated around the borders of Lincs/Leics area. Luckily for me my uncle was one of them and so I was his guest.

Was meet by some friendly Lexus folk at reception were they took some details and booked us in. So we then when for refreshments in the waiting room.

The first car we were luckily enough to test drive was the LS430! Boy, what a car, every imaginable conceivable extra is in the car. The Lexus rep suggests we jump in the back first so he can show us what passenger facilities there is. Ranging from the chiller box, heated/massager seats even the head rests are electrically adjusted. Rear screen blind and independent climate control! This car has it all.

Drive comfort speaks for itself and for a big car it can still shift pretty well.

Then cam along the SC430! Not over struck on the cars looks entirely, think you need to catch the right angel. A bit of a Love hate thing going on here I think. Again very well kitted out and the interior was of exceptional quality. This is the only car I drove as I was not officially insured due to my young age! But how I could get used to automatics!!! Smooth, very respondent and complete hassle free to drive. And when you have a 4.3 under the bonnet it can climb speeds very quickly. Again this car impressed me.

Third and finally my uncle drove the new GS430. Although he was not won over by the interior colour we had been given, the design was something he could warm to. So after being in the car for around ten minutes I found that the car was very quite inside and surprisingly the kick back from the car when booting it was sharper than that of the SC430. Again comfort was sublime and the car had pretty much everything the LS430 did. Another great car!

Just thought Id share that with you folks. Trouble is I didn’t want to get back in what can only be described as the bottom of the range Lexus!! :P
