Melted Bumper

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Had a slight mishap, doin a 3 point turn on a road with TOO much camber, pavement was at a stupid angle to the road resulting in the rear (reversing) end scraping it. Got home, it was dark, felt the bottom edge of bumper, everythin seemed ok. Drove it for a few days, came to cleaning it and noticed the absence of the exhaust....turned out the backbox had jammed itself up on its bush behind the bumper, with the exhaust conveniently melting itself a new exit outta the rear bumper... The damage isn't huge, the o/s curved part of the normal exhaust exit has cracked and melted, but thankfully the extent of the damage is limited to the very bottom of the bumper i.e. the "lip", sorry i haven't got any pics. Anyone have any idea as to whether this can be repaired, and how much it would cost to get a half decent job done? Alternatively i was thinkin of gettin a small rear lip bodykit for the back bumper as this would disguise the damage. Any ideas...??
