ok folks, anyone with a trust greddy induction kit on the IS, can you help me please.

Can you just tell me on yours if the yellow filter bit is actually attached to the black rubber bit that connects the to the pipe.

Got my car back and the filter is wobbly on the end of the induction pipe and is not connected to the black rubber bit, it just rests in place. I cant remember if it was like this before the accident or not? :duh:

I've put my spare TRD filter on the end for the time being.

Thanks in advance peeps.

so if you touch the filter it doesnt move at all?

the rubber bit that goes inside the filter, is it actually attached to the filter? i can push the filter back over the rubber bit towards the pipe.

im sure mine is broke!

here are some pics, should have posted these up first really!

filter and black rubber thing, all looks fine

filter1.jpg

black rubber thing pushed in which would allow other items to be sucked into the engine? as they can get in without going through the filter.

i dont remember it doing this before but could be wrong, its been a while!

does anyone elses trust filter do this? the TRD one i've put on at the mo doesnt, its a sealed unit that fits straight onto the pipe.

get one of those other filters (maybe the pipercross flilter?) rememeber someone put up a link to a website with comparissons of different filter and one of them outperformed the other significantly and also performed the best filtration wise

From your picture it seems that the rubber fitting has slipped out. If you look along the edge of the black rubber you will see a groove going right around the rim. The metal teeths of the casing needs to be in the groove. It takes a bit of yanking but it will slip in nicely and then you wont have any movement at all. No glueing required! :winky:

you're right mate, it has just slipped out, attempting to get it back in right now!
