Got a set to fit to the Tezza but no destructions. Getting them fitted on Friday.

Any advice on how much pre-load to apply to the springs as a start point would be very much appreciated.

They came off Fargo's IS3 so would guess that the springs will be fairly stiff to start off with.

Cheers Neil

I have these same tings on my IS3, I leave them on the firmest setting all the time

Are you talking about the damping Mike?

Remember I'm half a ton lighter than you, not personally though :D

What you calling me a FB Neil? :duh:

Seriously, previous response was on the front adjustable screws. O n the coils I got them the fitters to to set the springs to approx 75% but I don't think they did 'em right because the valve on the R/NS and sometimes the F/OS still make an annoying tap/knocking noise.

You will really notice the improvement in handling! Just make sure you get the fitters to do it right. BTW how low are you going? :winky:

I got weighed at Hospital today 95Kg's that's 15st give or take and been FBS for a few years now :crybaby:

So on the springs with less weight (the car) if I go for about 60% compression as a starter.

Plan on height is to set the car to the height it is now, max out the camber adjusters and then drop the car as far as it will go whilst keeping the geo set for good handling and tyre wear :D

Have I got it right Dr Bones

If it's any help, I'm -55mm at the front, still enough room to get a hand on the tyre and the DR reckons my geo is OK for normal wear.

At the rear I'm -80mm with the tyre tucked just inside the arch. I have -ve 2deg camber at the rears, which will wear more than standard, but about only 20-30%

Get her slammed! :D :D :D

I have mine on the softest settings on the rear and about 5 clicks on the front.

To firm on the damping unsettles the car alot and i don't know whats under me when i'm driving at full chat..

On std rims... i had front tyres tucked about 15mm (90mm drop i'd say) and the rear was just level with the arch (70mm?) Handled like it was on rails... when i put the TRD anti roll bars on, i couldn't say i noticed a difference.

Drop the front more, trust me it will handle superb, and look tough as fuk

Also.... I reccommend you bin the front bumpstops supplied with the kit and fit some longer ones, about 2" in length, std ones supplied are rubbish, you will bottom out the strut on 60mm drop....

Nice kit otherwise.... but if u plan on boost later you will be after some heavy poundage springs.... i'm soon to change as there faaaaaaaar too soft, the car dips loads under boost!

Thanks guys.

One more question on the damping, is the adjuster screwed in or out for more damping?

I could use some more bumpstop material, where did you get yours from Am?

I just used some random ones i had lying around.... from mk2 golf gti as it happens... sliced about 1" off as there huge!

In for more dampening

Out for less dampening
