Car Detailing

Just been on Megs online, there seems to be so many people Car detailing (not valeting as I would expect in the UK).

Some of the stuff they do with paint work is truely amazing.

The reason for posting is that I've just picked up a little Alfa 145, the Lex has gone back until I decide whether to get an RX400 or a new model IS.

The paintwork is a little faded and in some places, there have been some patch ups (read bodge ups) made on it. the bonnet in particular is pretty poor, with some very obvious over dose of clear coat.

I've tried meg's scratch x but it isnt aggressive enough. I've been using been using a combination of hand application and also with an orbital polisher.

Can anyone give me some advice on what to do next... apart from sell it!- I looked at one years ago, but bought a BM instead. Its not as refined (in any way) as the IS, but for a 2 litre 'go kart' its fast as ***** and has things like aircon which will do for the summer!

Cheers,

Jason

What you need is some Clay this is a poly clay bar that resembles a blutack kind of substance this is rubbed over the paintwork in straight lines and this removes contaminates like tree sap industrail fallout and pollution off the paint work

One product that really really does do what is says on the tin......... well impressed :D
