Vodafone & Upgrades

Right, i've had a real bad day, and to cut a long story short, read the text below that i have just sent to Vodafone Customer Services about my discontent.

Dear Sir/Madam

I placed an order for an upgrade

of my current contract and phone

on Monday 13th June. The contract

and line rental details were

amended accordingly however the

phone (a motorola V3 RAZR in

BLACK) has been a different issue.

I was assured during the phone

call that the phone would be

ordered for me on Tuesday 14th

June in the morning and that the

phone would arrive with me on

Wednesday 15th June.

After ensuring that someone was

going to be at my house all day to

take delivery of said phone it

never arrived.

I then phoned yourselves to check

the status of the order to be told

that there had been no order

placed and when i was in the

process of being transferred to

another department to deal with

the issue i was cut off.

I then rang back to continue

discussing the issue further and

spoke to a supervisor in the sales

team who gave me a months free

line rental for my inconvenience

and assured me that the situation

would be rectified as soon as

possible and that the sales person

had made the mistake of not

ordering phones before.

I was then phoned back by the

gentleman that i placed the

initial order with and was told

that the phone was now ordered and

would be with me soon however it

was NOT the phone i had requested.

I had BEEN ordered a SILVER V3 and

i HAD ordered a BLACK V3. I was

then told that the phone i wanted

in the colour i wanted was not in

stock and i would have to wait

until tomorrow to get a date for

the phones to arrive at your end.

My issues with all of this palava

are as follows:

1. Why was the phone not ordered

when i was told it was going to be?

2. If it was not in stock why was

i not informed that the phone

would not be arriving when stated?

3. Why was my order changed from a

BLACK phone to a SILVER phone?

I have had a contract phone with

Vodafone in the past but changed

to Singlepoint after being highly

dis-satisfied by the level of

customer service i received. Since

this is my first dealing with

Vodafone since that time i have to

say that i am again highly dis-

satisfied with the level of

customer service.

I am seriously regretting taking

up another contract with vodafone

again as a result of all this.

As previously mentionned i am

highly dis-satisfied and want this

situation resolved (including

delivery of the BLACK phone i

ordered) shorlty or i will be

taking my business elsewhere.

I await your response.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how i can kick them about until they give me what i asked for?

Stu

Unless you are really bothered Stu, vote with your feet and take your business elsewhere. I have to call VF at least once a month, eventually get put through to some arrogant wowwypop who then tells me I have to call a different department.

Unfortunately all of the other network providers seen to have the same pi$$ poor attitude.

The only other service provider who surpasses Vodafone's incompetence is NTL! :excl:

Yep....you guessed it 3!!

However they are quick to respond and helpful - except when I tried to cancel and got transfered between depts five times!

they're driving me nuts with it, and as has been said, vodafone is almost the best of a bad bunch.

i was with singlepoint, and had no problems, but then vodafone bought them out, and i'm back to square one with it all now.

I recently switched to a Vodafone contract, and having been with Orange and O2 previously, I would say that they have been the best so far. However, never been through the upgrades process so don't know if that's where they let themselves down

the stop the clock thing is great tho :D
