Well im doing the Sat nav unit conversion for the 7" lcd screen -

question is which screen, what do i have to look out for??

i dont realy want to spend ££££ on it as i am probably getting rid of the car at end of year

so what is a good pixel number as they vary soooo much.

only want a single imput but 2 may be a good idea.

as for a dvd player i am going to do a temporary solution using a din sized player with a build in FM modulator from TG incar until i upgrade the whole audio system

are the ones from TG incar worth the money - £99.99

i suppose RGB as an entry level connection

but idealy it will be hooked up to a MINI MAC at some point but dont want to go touch screen

Chris, I may be wrong but I think both those screens you have linked to have s-video/composite input only - not RGB which is what you need for a Mini Mac.

I use a Xenarc 7" TFT which is touchscreen, has 2 composite inputs and one RGB. They cost around £250.

A cheaper option would be this:

£139 inc VAT

These have had good reviews and seem better then the Lilliput screens alot of people have had trouble with. It is not touchscreen - but you said you didn't want touchscreen.

or am i looking at the wrong bit?

You are right - the housing is about 50mm smaller. I managed to (using a stanley knife) cut the bottom of the housing frame out to make sure I didn't loose any screen! :D
